"The bike makes me feel free again".

The Lt. Dan Weekend in October proved to be a blockbuster event!  I think anyone who attended will attest to this being one of the bigger events that has happened in Beaufort for a very long time.  The Lt. Dan weekend was tied into Main Street Beaufort's 16th Annual Shrimp Festival which is the biggest festival of the year in Beaufort County.  Thousands if not 10's of thousands of people attend the Shrimp Festival.  The Little Red Dog Foundation was called to action in support of the disabled veterans who have served our country.  The LRDF backed by Ambucs and many chapters of Ambucs participated by granting AmTryke therapeutic cycles to 13 disabled veterans.

The specially designed cycles were immediately put into use by their new owners who took an 11 or 22 or 33 mile test drive on their new Amtrykes.  Please take time to check out our pictures of this event and many wonderful pictures taken during the weekend.

On an absolutely beautiful June day in the Lowcountry, Anne and Robert Gallant sponsored a fund raiser for Little Red Dog Foundation with a barbeque cook-off.  The event was held at the Gallant's beautiful housing development Coosaw Point on Ladies Island.  Click Here to see some pictures from that day.

All 28 of the K4 and K5 students of St. Peters Catholic School did a bicycle marathon for the Little Red Dog Foundation in May 2010. They raised over $850  (a huge amount for such young children!) and also gave away a special hand and foot pedal therapeutic AmTryke for a little boy who is both mentally and physically challenged.   Click Here to see this photo gallery.

The Junior Service League of Beaufort in January 2009 held a fun run to raise awareness and funds for the Little Red Dog Foundation.  It was a great success!  Six local children received special therapeutic Amtrykes and over $5,000 dollars was raised for the cause.  Click Here to see this gallery.

Marke's Heating and Cooling, Inc. during 2008 donated $500 each month to a local charity based on a simple and safe nominate your charity contest.  The Little Red Dog Foundation won the July 2008 contest.  Click Here to see this gallery.

Malphrus Construction donates 12 Amtrykes in March 2008.  A big day with many happy faces!  Local physical therapists including Tom Hetherington, Katie Giamona assisted in fitting the trykes to the lucky recipients.  Click Here to see this gallery.
